KYAP

海外派遣事業

Kitaibaraki Youth Ambassador Program: KYAP is an overseas dispatch project launched in March 1995 to promote human resource development and community development in response to the global community.  Approximately once every two years, about 10 selected junior high school, high school, and university students are trying to interact with the Wairoa, New Zealand.  Even after returning to Japan, they have been highly evaluated for their short-term and long-term study abroad, overseas travel, and international exchange activities at other and regional organizations.  This experience becomes the start of a big leap for them or their family.

Purpose

As a youth ambassador for Kitaibaraki, we introduce Kitaibaraki and Japanese culture to Wairoa citizens, strive for friendship and goodwill, and promote mutual understanding.

1.

Through overseas training, we deepen our understanding of foreign cultures, cultivate our global sense, and strive for friendship by interacting with Wairoa citizens through the homestay.

2.

After back to Japan, we utilize the experience of overseas training to develop active human resources centered on young people to promote the internationalization of Kitaibaraki.

3.

General dispatchers actively observe and absorb the current state of culture, education, industry, etc. in Wairoa through local exchanges, and use it to promote the internationalization of Kitaibaraki.
