This year's International Understanding Seminar was held at the Nakago Multipurpose Hall with Ms. Kawice Maeda, an English teaching assistant in Kitaibaraki City, as a lecturer.

With the citizens, she had a fun talk about Kenya and explained about various fields. Participants also reaffirmed Kenya and wanted to visit once.

At the end, her mother greeted us through SNS and recommended us to visit Kenya, and she would like to visit the wonderful Kitaibaraki where her daughter lives.

Why is Kenya so strong in marathons?

There was also a question as to why Kenya is by far the strongest marathon, and the answer was that Kenya is located just below the equator, but because it is in the highlands, they have high cardiopulmonary abilities by nature, and depending on the tribe, it was said that the trained legs by hunting were one of the strong reasons. Based on the basic philosophy of KICS, such a seminar was planned by the project team, and we were able to deepen exchanges while getting to know and understand Kenya.

We are thinking of planning and managing unique seminars from a new perspective next year as well.
