Neighboring university international student exchange meeting

On Saturday, Jan. 11, five international students from Ibaraki Christian University (Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea) visited Kitaibaraki for two nights and three days. This event has been held every year since KICS was created.

When they met their host families, they were able to speak fluent Japanese immediately. Everyone has been in Japan for a few months, but the Japanese is wonderful.

After the face-to-face ceremony, we did Mochi-tsuki (make rice cakes). Everyone was so good at making that we couldn't think it was the first time. While eating freshly made rice cakes and delicious food, the three students had a kimono dressing experience. They looked very happy when they chose their favorite kimonos and finished wearing it.

: Special thanks to Tomo-san for cooking the best Oden in Kitaibaraki!

Happy new year. First of all, we would like to express our condolences to those who lost their lives in the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, and as well as to those affected by the disaster. Thank you
